This year marks the 300th Anniversary of North Haven Congregational Church. We've incorporated something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue into our bra in honor of all the women and men who have endured a diagnosis of breast cancer in times past when there were fewer ways to save their lives. We honor all who are living with breast cancer now, those who are survivors and those we keep alive in our hearts..
We pray there is hope for the future and a time that there is a cure that knocks breast cancer into oblivion!
Something Old, Something New, A cancer-free future's our hope for you!
The art bra was selected for the runway show of After The Storm. Not only that, it was selected to be On CT Style, Channel 8, on August 4th! Since its theme is about the church's anniversary and those of our community past, present and future who are affected with this disease, our church's anniversary will be shared with others, too. I'm really delighted!
August 18th is art bra night! Get tickets here, carpooling is always a good idea. Let's plan ahead to spend a wonderful evening together supporting a cause near to our hearts!
The Women’s Fellowship is open to all the women of NHCC, providing the opportunity to work together with other women on a variety of fundraising projects. It meets regularly in Carroll Hall on the first Monday evening of each month at 6:30. The opportunities are on many levels and no special skills or talents are necessary.
Traditionally the Women’s Fellowship projects include the annual Harvest Fair and a spring tag sale with tables available on the lawn to the whole Town. It also supports community activities such as “Art Bra” and “After the Storm”, a support group for breast cancer survivors.
The Women’s Fellowship also assists with food preparation for church dinners, the Pierpont concert dinners and receptions, visits the homebound members with gifts and flowers and helps in the Food Pantry that feeds those in need in the community.
