Scott grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and Houston, Texas. In his early years he belonged to the Presbyterian Church; then, as a student at Earlham College he worshiped with the Quakers. He graduated from Yale Divinity School in 1989. He served his first parish in Orange, CT for five years; then came to the North Haven Congregational Church in the Fall of 1994. He enjoys gardening, folk dancing, tennis and watching his kids play soccer.

Laura grew up in North Ferrisburgh, Vermont and transplanted to Connecticut to attend Wesleyan University. She graduated with a BA in music in 2006 and has worked at a variety of Connecticut churches, joining the North Haven Congregational Church in August 2007. In her free time she loves to dance, climb mountains and have adventures.
