The Manhattan skyline during the largest electric power outage in North American history, August 14, 2003. Fifty million people lost power, 4 million people lost water, and many railroads and airports were shut down.
Our Mission“Praise the LORD! Praise God in God’s sanctuary and
Praise God in the mighty firmament!” Psalm 150:1
To give praise and thanks for God’s bountiful gift of creation entrusted to us.
To recognize and to work toward reducing the cost and injustice of poor environmental practices unfairly borne by some segments of our society. To adopt within our church and personal lives, practices which are consistent with sustainability and improvement of the environment. To accept our role as faithful and active stewards of creation by exploring our world-wide Christian responsibilities, and sharing that knowledge with fellow congregants of all ages.
